Territorial

Guys are dogs.

In the territorial sense of the word, I mean.

I gave up on Mr. Asshole eons ago. Got fed up with his inconsistent hot and cold blowing. Maybe he was being consistently inconsistent. I'll give him that.

But lately, he has been blowing pretty hot again. All because he saw evidence that I was having a gala of a time without him. And surrounded by other dogsmen. Cute ones at that.

The letters, the phone calls started again.

Eons ago, I'd probably have melted and floated up to Venus.

But now I'm just jaded.

And I'm wondering, when will he start being cold and acting like a jerk again.

We'll see.

Apples and Wine

Apples and Wine

Women are like apples on trees.
The best ones are at the top of the tree.
Most men don't want to reach for the good ones
because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt.
Instead, they just take the rotten apples from the ground
that aren't as good, but easy.
The apples at the top think something is wrong with them,
when in reality, they're amazing.
They just have to wait for the right man to come along.
The one who's brave enough to climb all the way
to the top of the tree.
Men... Men are like a fine wine.
They begin as grapes and it's up to women
to stomp the shit out of them
until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

Helping the Malays... but......

Recently, after a friend lent me a book on speed reading, I have been able to enjoy reading much more. Not that my reading speed has improved drastically, but it has improved. Perhaps it's because I don't find reading 'slow', there is enough information to fill my mind while I 'read' that makes it interesting. I hope it can be faster tho....
With that I want to introduce to you now, 2 blogs :

http://jeffooi.com/ - about local politics

http://limkitsiang.blogspot.com/- about himself, politics

LKS's blog has just started a few days ago and I believe is generating much readership online. Partly because DAP's Ronnie's article partly because LKS has always been a political figure with 'something to say'.

For me, I'm happy to see that the cyberspace has finally brought true freedom of speech to Malaysia, its a pity that only the internet has a minimal penetration rate in our country... (something's definitely wrong there!)

***********

Recently, after the waving of keris, the talk about a new-new-economic-plan.... etc etc. I don't know what to feel about being Malaysian. I'm born here in KL, a Malaysian on my identification card, but do I feel treated as one? No. I'm most shocked to read in LKS's blog

Is Hishammuddin going to apologise for brandishing the Malay keris at the recent UMNO Youth General Assembly? As Education Minister, he must not set the bad example of insensitivity or amnesia of the UMNO Youth rally in Kuala Lumpur on 17th October 1987, with banners blaring incendiary slogans like : “MAY 13 HAS BEGUN” and “SOAK IT (KRIS) WITH CHINESE BLOOD”
http://limkitsiang.blogspot.com/

To be honest, I am quite sick of hearing the Malay agenda. How about the Malaysian Agenda? How about the towering Malaysians?

*********

In Malaysia, the bumis enjoys special previlleges via the NEP, DEP or XXX-EP whatever you have it. Yet after all these years, the plan didn't seem to work. Wealth isn't distributed. These are facts known.

It's only logical then when a plan don't work, you study why it didn't work and change it -- not work it harder, or in this case, give more previlleges, more help to the needy. Which I fear may just happen- again.

We can give all the 'help' to the bumis but if they don't change intrinsicaly, then all else failed. Their mentality to blame, justify and give excuse are really their down fall. Help can be given and should be given but it seems the lessons are not caught, and from the statistic, not at all.

In fact, the local press and everyone else has made the observation that all the 'helping' has made only a few millionaires, and a whole generation waiting and living on 'help'. Is this the kind of Malaysia that we want? No!

Reading some blog comments in jeffooi and LKS's blog, it is obvious that some malay still think that if they can take back the 'land', then they'll be 'safe'. Safe from what? Safe from the non-bumis/malays taking the wealth away?

The world is converging at an alarming rate!! The economy of the world is affecting us more each day. A raise in oil prices and our nation is shaking. Are we ready for the next depression as a nation, because it's bound to come? If we don't learn how to increase our competiveness as a nation, then we're all going to suffer together. Take MAS as an example. If MAS don't learn how to stay competitive as a global player, whoever heads it really don't matter. What's a 100% of zero?

I believe that there are no shortcuts in building strength. If we want a towering nation, you have to put in the effort. Just look at other races history for a guide the jews, the russians , the chinese around the world, the japanese, the indians...etc.

I don't think the bumis need any more help, I think it's time they learn how to fish. If they want to learn how to fish, then perhaps the non-bumis can coach them (as oppose to teach them). After all, the non-bumis have a lot more practice fishing without help.

TM's slogan now:- 'You're heard' -- Tomorrow I give you answer.

What does TM stands for?

Tomorrow.

TM means tomorrow. In TM, nothing gets done today. It's tomorrow. Besok, you call balik?Bayar dulu.

When I went to apply for 2 lines last week. I was quite happy with the changes I've found in TM. The service was not really fast but acceptable. Everything was done within 30mins. All I had to do was to call back in 1 week to check when's the available time to get my phone lines sorted by a technician on site.

I called back yesterday, and found out that the promotional plan they told me about last week was not valid. I had to pay DOUBLE of what was told me me. They said to call the shop back and get it sorted.

Went back to TM-point and waited for 1 hour while the manager was serving only ONE-1 customer. It was obvious, the customer que was not moving at all. Most irritating was the one customer, a malay aunty. She had a number, 4129. The serving number at that time was 4120! She cut que! She's probably some rich aunty alright! Somemore she bloody bitch about everythign and ask the manager to help... I heard they were talkign about their friends in Tomorrow. Oh yeah, they were blind that the whole shop was filled with pissed customers.

Finally she noticed me. Take a seat she said....
My answer:' eh blind ah? Where got seat? you all so slow! (being polite I only look at her and said, it's all taken!)

finally, it was my turn. Turns out the promotion was still in place. But the line that I registered for is not available. Only got 1 line. So fine, process the 1 line and get it over with. Unfortunately having 1 line while registered for 2 is not okay for the Tomorrow's high-tech infrastructure. So it jammed up her whole system and she had to start me all over again. So what happens? you've guessed it. call back Tomorrow!

Is anything confirmed tomorrow? Mesti Check la.

Yeah Malaysia Boleh. TM will check again Tomorrow and see if we meet the mark.

TM may have rebranded, but the core is fundamentally unchanged- the feeling I get is that they are a lazy bunch and very slow at responding to anything.

TM's slogan now:- 'You're heard' -- Tomorrow I give you answer.

Grumpy monday

It happens to me sometimes. I lay on my bed, just can't sleep.

Looking at the ceiling fan, my mind races with its spin to the endless oblivious boundaries.
My mind ran miles, while I'm travelling without moving.
Still stuck at this dimension of consciousness.

Where is the door that exits to dreamland? I just can't find it!

Finally sleep overcame me at about 4am or was it 5am? It can't be. I saw dawn rising on me. I can hear my neighbour's cars starting. Ohhhh sleep! I need the energy later to work. So much work, so much work....

In a flash, it's already 12pm. Thankfully I am self-employed. Unfortunately, much has been lost, time is money indeed. But I can't buy back time with money and certainly not sleep.

Now I'm half awake, half mad and grumpy. I'm going to work like mad today, tire myself out then I'll sleep like a log later

Hate Being Behind The Lens

** Warning. This is a super vain post**

I don't hate hate hate this lar.

Just dislike NOT being in the picture, that's all.

What's the point of being photogenic when you are not the one being shot or snapped at? Huh??

I mean, God must have given me all these natural great looks for something, right? To bless others with my dazzling smile and sweet shy eyes.

Oh gawd, I nearly puked over the last sentence. Heh.

Anyways.

I do get a rush snapping, uploading and sharing photos and videos with my pals and all. But it's sad when I realise that at the end of the day, I forgot to take a pic with the VIP of the event itself.

What the heck lar.

My next beau would have to have a decent digital camera or at least learn to use mine. And be worshipful of my goddesic beauty and snap my beautesque face in all possible angles and light of day.

You can tell I'm day dreaming, right?

The Irony of Life

I hate it when this happens.

The people you like, don't seem to like you back the same way. And there are others who are pursuing you but you don't feel inclined to give them the time of the day.

Where is the fairness in that?!
