Cost of HazeYou know, I've always complained about the air quality in KL. It's bad. It's really bad. Just go out of KL and you can tell how bad the air is.I never knew I can take anything worst until of course today. What the fuck is going on?? Gotham invade KL?? I can't even see where my own pee lands when i go to the loo! (oh shoot, I ought to becareful I don't hit my own leg... bad visibility.. bad aiming.. bad bad bad). Equally worst, there would be no more ass-spotting from a mile away until October!!! reports from thestar.com.my says. Hello?! October is almost 2 fucking months away? And until then, according to the people who knows what to do, nothing can be done. What the fuck does that mean? nothing can be done? We boast the tallest building, the most riddiculours AP distribution, the NEP that didn't work but still planning to go on, the less than 1% broadband penetration rate (despite the VERY early construction of MSC etc etc), the high toll to road ration (compare us to germany or england or australia or heck singapore), the high quality national car (which is cheaper in price and better in quality overseas than in Malaysia? Why are the consumers subsidizing for this?) and there's nothing we can do? How's this for a quiz? If your my neighbour does open burning and all the smoke comes into your house, you.... a) go and tell him to fuck off and do his open burning elsewhere or b) you stand there and watch while the children and the elderly in your house falls ill and you happily accept all the lame excuse your neighbout gives you. The answer is obvious. Maybe they need a taller building than KLCC to see clearer than their own egos. The people will be more happy if the government listen to them. NEP or not, we want to have peace - not an absence of violence - but a presences of love. If our neighbour is really trying to do something about it and says they need help, help. The cost from the lost of production, medicine, and the long term lost of responsibiliy and trustworthiness (which is priceless) from the government would be much higher I suspect. If the neighbour doesn't know anything about the open burning outside his house.. because some illegal shit is going on or s/he's being plain stupid or s/he's being bribed to sit on their fat ass and unable or don't want to do anything about it. Then shouldn't we send in our troops to take care of our national interest? It's like havingweapons of mass destruction released upon us. Biological weapon. Death by Haze. Slowly, but surely. If every cigaretts shorted our lives by 3min, and each cigarett last about 5mins of smoking. Our lives are truly in danger!!! Somemore the haze is said to last until October! Looking at the situation, how's this for motivation? Can we sue the neighbour or anyone else and claim for damages caused in health for this 3months of haze, the lost of years in my life, and all the other damages caused to my work...etc etc. Multiply that by the total population of Peninsula Malaysia. It's quite a hefty some. How much do you think that'll be? Is that a figure that will prompt a nation to do what's necessary to stop the haze asap? I think so. posted by The Cusser at 12:03 PM
